Launching a star-studded British film in style at The Curzon Mayfair

Tasked by STUDIOCANAL to launch the world premiere of The Mercy, Cake took to The Curzon Mayfair to produce an ultra-glamourous evening premiere - despite the sub-zero temperatures.

The film told the incredible story of amateur sailor Donald Crowhurst (Colin Firth) and his solo attempt to circumnavigate the globe, as well as the struggles he confronted on the journey while his wife (Rachel Weisz) and family awaited his return.

The stunning film deserved an equally stunning premiere, and so we created an intimate and classy red carpet production in the heart of Mayfair.

Alongside the cast and filmmakers there was plenty of VIP guests in attendance on the night, including Sir Robin Knox Johnston, who was the first person to sail around the globe solo and win the 1968 Sunday Times Golden Globe Race – the competition which the film centres around.

The Mercy’s star-studded cast were all in attendance, with Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz being photographed by the global media and a sea of dedicated fans, who all turned up and braved the cold to see the glamourous duo walk the red carpet together.
